Evergreen Marketing Group logo

BlueVolt, the leading provider of online Learning Management Systems (LMS) for the construction, manufacturing and service industries, and Evergreen Marketing Group are pleased to launch Evergreen University. This elearning resource will extend the industrial supply cooperative’s training efforts and allow its leading suppliers to better connect with member distributors.

Evergreen Marketing Group is a member-owned cooperative of over 60 independent construction and industrial supply distributors. Members work in partnership with more than 70 leading suppliers, providing high-quality equipment products and industrial and construction tools.

Evergreen University, powered by BlueVolt, enhances the co-op’s existing in-person training program, which provides a range of educational and technical services including safety training, informational sessions regarding new regulations and on-the-job product demonstrations designed to keep members up-to-date with advances in the field.

Evergreen’s preferred suppliers can also post manufacturer-specific product training courses to the new LMS. Member distributors can take the online courses at any time, from anywhere with an internet connection, thus maximizing the training program’s reach and effectiveness.

"Evergreen members know that the more product knowledge you have, the more comfortable you are promoting those products,” said Kevin Higginbotham, CEO of Evergreen Marketing Group. “The product knowledge gained from online training through BlueVolt gives our members an additional training resource that can ultimately help increase sales.”

Several of Evergreen’s preferred suppliers already offer online training courses on the BlueVolt platform, via other Universities. With BlueVolt’s unique course sharing feature, these suppliers can easily share their courses in Evergreen University, expanding their training reach throughout the sales channel.

“In order for any training program to be effective, it’s important to always have fresh, up-to-date content for your learners,” said Sharon Dunigan, national accounts manager at BlueVolt. “Because many of Evergreen’s suppliers already offer courses through BlueVolt’s LMS, it is quick and easy to ensure that their distributors have access to new and current product training courses.”

As University learners successfully complete courses, they can earn $BlueBucks™, BlueVolt’s dollar-for-dollar rewards program that is proven to increase course enrollment up to ten times. Evergreen members may redeem their rewards for virtual gift cards at hundreds of retailers nationwide, the purchase of future courses, or donate to charity. Brandon Hall recently awarded BlueVolt’s $BlueBucks program its gold award for the “Best Advance in Rewards and Recognition Technology.”

BlueVolt, the leading provider of online learning management systems (LMS) for the manufacturing, construction and service industries, celebrates its tenth year of continuous growth. And it’s shaping up to become another banner year for the elearning company that started simply as an online training platform for electricians.

With a focus on understanding the unique needs of tradespeople, BlueVolt built its award-winning platform from the ground up to fulfill multiple training needs in the marketplace. Since 2002, BlueVolt has bridged the gap between manufacturers and the people that sell and use their products – distributors and skilled tradespeople such as contractors, electricians, plumbing and HVAC specialists, and more. The company has expanded significantly beyond its original niche training market and now delivers training across entire industries and throughout those sales channels: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, flooring, & consumer electronics.

“We’ve come a long way in the past decade by following a simple belief ‘people use and sell what they know and trust’,” said Don Spear, President and CEO of BlueVolt. “By taking the time to really listen and understand our customers’ training needs, the BlueVolt LMS platform has evolved to become an invaluable tool in helping companies train their employees and sales channels, increase sales and improve safety in the workplace.”

In the past year alone, industry leaders such as Hammond Power Solutions, Matco-Norca, Crown Boiler Co., and Savant Systems have partnered with BlueVolt to develop custom online training Universities to achieve their learning and business objectives. BlueVolt delivers information and verifies knowledge.  Companies sell more products and build trust.

In its tenth year, BlueVolt is celebrating significant milestones:  the team has launched more than 100 elearning Universities with associations, distributors, contractors, and manufacturers and delivered more than 1.2 million courses on topics ranging from boosting sales of a new product, to adapting to the National Electric Code changes, to improving on-the-job safety through fall prevention. In an average week, approximately 7,000 visitors easily access an online University powered by BlueVolt.

Unique to the BlueVolt LMS is its innovative $BlueBucksprogram, a pay-for-performance rewards system that recently earned a Brandon Hall Gold Award for excellence in technology. Proven to increase enrollment up to ten times, learners redeem $BlueBucks for virtual gift cards at hundreds of retailers nationwide, apply the rewards towards the price of future courses, or donate their $BlueBucks to charity. Since the program’s launch, BlueVolt learners have earned nearly 2 million $BlueBucks.

Key to BlueVolt’s customer-centric culture is its innovative software development team, which takes an agile development approach to system updates primarily guided by customer requests and feedback. BlueVolt updates its software-as-service, web-based LMS platform every two weeks instead of monthly or quarterly as is common with other LMS platforms. Last fall, the company released its HTML5 mobile interface, which allows users to access interactive courses, quizzes and videos from any mobile device such as the iPad®, iPhone® and Android® browsers – without relying on the use of Adobe Flash® software. In addition to supporting interactive content the new mobile interface features simple-to-navigate, enhanced functionality for mobile learners.

“Although the building and construction industry took a hit in recent years, BlueVolt continues to grow rapidly in both the number of people we train and the amount of courses available on our LMS platform. It’s a sign that we are meeting a very real need in the marketplace, which is to deliver learning online,” says Spear. “Considering our growth, combined with ongoing developments in mobile and social technology, BlueVolt’s future is very bright in the enormous industrial markets that we serve.”
