We Had a Blast at ASTD

Last month, we attended the ASTD 2011 International Conference & Exposition in Orlando, Florida and had a wonderful time. We were able to meet with learning and development professionals from around the world and have great conversations about the role elearning plays in training & professional development.

Our giant voodoo doll, part of our “Don’t Hate Your LMS” campaign, was quite popular—it might have even upstaged our iPad giveaway! You can check some of out the photos on our Facebook page.

After the voodoo doll broke the ice (and eased the pain many conference attendees feel about their frustrating and complicated LMS platforms), we were able to speak with booth visitors about what they both need and want from their LMS. After trying out our demo, people fell in love with BlueVolt’s comprehensive user interface and easy-to-use administrative features. The ability to add $BlueBucks to courses was a really popular feature of our LMS. $BlueBucks are completely integrated into our platform, so there’s no need to administer incentives through a separate program or system.

We’d like to thank Mike Prokopeak from Chief Learning Officer for stopping by our booth to learn more about BlueVolt and including us in his recap of the conference. And a big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn more about BlueVolt - and congrats to Kris Martone, our iPad drawing winner.  All in all, we had a blast at ASTD!

We are gearing up for DevLearn in Las Vegas. Tell us, will you be attending? What would you like to learn from us?
